Linda Heredia Principal

Welcome Back, La Rosa Families,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt warmth that I welcome you to this upcoming school year at La Rosa Elementary! Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are so glad to have you as part of our school community. We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for every child.

To our new families, welcome to La Rosa! We are honored to have you join our Rascal family. La Rosa is a place where students are nurtured, challenged, and inspired to excel. It’s the place ‘where every student succeeds.’ We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive academically and socially. We’re thrilled that you have chosen La Rosa as your child’s educational home. To our returning families, welcome back! Your continued support and partnership mean so much to us! We are eager to build on the strong foundation we’ve created together.

La Rosa Elementary serves students in transitional kindergarten through third grade. Our mission is to provide optimal learning opportunities while inspiring students to be safe, kind, and positive learners. As a school community, we envision empowering young learners to explore, grow, and build a strong foundation for lifelong success, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a sense of community. Through engaging STEAM lessons, critical thinking challenges, and hands-on learning, we equip our Rascals with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

We also place great emphasis on the social-emotional growth of our students. Through our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, students learn and practice respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors across campus. Daily morning meetings help foster classroom community and connection, while our school counselor supports students through monthly lessons aligned with our social-emotional learning themes. She also offers group sessions focused on friendship and self-esteem, as well as individual support as needed.

Technology and innovation are also key parts of our 21st-century learning. Our students explore coding, robotics, and digital learning in our Computer Lab and library, where they can interact with tools such as Bee-Bots, Ozobots, and Osmos, all of which promote creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

La Rosa is also proud to celebrate the rich diversity of our school community. With the help of our incredible PTA, we host a variety of schoolwide events and activities that honor cultural heritage, promote inclusion, and bring us together as one community. These programs thrive because of the support of parents like you. We hope you will consider joining our PTA, volunteering at events, or simply finding small ways to get involved. Your participation makes a lasting impact.

Thank You,

Linda Heredia
