No Child Left Behind Act of 2001
Title I, Part A, Section 1118(d)

This compact outlines how parents, the school staff, and students share the responsibility for improved student academic success and achievement.

School’s Responsibility: To enable students to meet the State’s academic achievement standards by:

  • Providing high-quality curriculum and instruction
  • Providing a supportive and effective learning environment
  • Organizing Parent/Teacher conferences at least once a year
  • Providing trimester reports to parents on their child’s progress
  • Providing reasonable access to staff
  • Providing opportunities to volunteer and participate in school activities

Parents’ Responsibility: To support our children’s learning by:

  • Monitoring attendance
  • Monitoring homework completion
  • Supporting and participating in my child’s educational experience
  • Monitoring the use of extracurricular time
  • Communicating with child’s teacher as needed
  • Attending Parent/Teacher conferences at least once a year

Student’s Responsibility: I will strive to improve my academic success and achievement by:

  • Practicing the Six Pillars of Character by being trustworthy, respectful, responsible, caring, fair and a good citizen
  • Participating in class
  • Reading for 30 minutes everyday
  • Giving school communications to my family
  • Doing my homework
  • Following classroom expectations
